It is a battery cover for a portable keyboard or digital drum pad / drum machine, fitting many (but not all) of the models that use "C" size batteries. It is used but in very good condition. Let me know your model # and I can help you decide if your unit will accept it. Many PSS / Portasound, SOME PSR / Portatone, and a few other models (like the DS55 midi keyboard, and others) will take it. Also many of the DD and YDD model digital drum pads, some drum machines and other Yamaha electronic instruments that use "C" size batteries will accept this. This cover is 1 1/2" inches by 2 11/16" inches in size. This battery cover (also called a "door" to the battery compartment) is a genuine Yamaha part. It's used but there are no chips or cracks, no warping, and it's latch and tabs are perfect. The "sponge" part inside is missing, as they tend to deteriorate over time, but it is not needed for it to work. This will complete your keyboard or drum machine with no need for tape and keep your batteries inside for transport and safety. This one is black in color but would work fine for other colored versions (I've only seen black and gray examples of this type but there may be others), so replace your lost or broken cover with this one!
