We added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. Double-shot PBT Keycaps & South-facing Backlight: The Q1 comes with our unique OSA profile and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use. The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle and free from interference when the user installs Cherry- profile alternative keycaps on the Q1.

The Keychron Q1 Knob version is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard with out-of-the-box QMK/VIA support and full aluminum frame. Anyone can intuitively master any keyboard keys or macro commands (incl. the knob) through the VIA software. The Q1 is designed to be able to assemble easily, so you can customize the hardware and software with endless possibilities.
Hot-swappable
The hot-swappable sockets supports both 3 pin and 5 pin MX mechanical switches (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.), so you can customize your favorite switches without soldering.
Full Aluminum 75% Compact Layout
The Q1 is crafted with a 6063 aluminum CNC machined body, polished, anodized and sandblasted finish, and twenty-four manufacturing processes.
Double-shot PBT Keycaps
The Q1 comes with our unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical-angle) and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use.
Program Each Key and Macro with QMK/VIA
Simply connect the Q1 to your device with a cable, import the Q1 keymap JSON file into the VIA software, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on macOS, Windows, or Linux operating systems, e.g.: create a macro command of a screenshot on macOS. Each keyboard component could be reassembled easily, so you can customize it the way you want. If there is any problem with the keyboard, it can be repaired by reassembling.

The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The big keys’ typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron Q1 v2 also supports third-party stabilizers including Cherry or Durock.
Wired Connectivity
A reliable USB Type-C wired connection with 1000 Hz polling rate and NKRO make sure you won't miss a beat no matter cranking out emails or code. Note: Please avoid connecting the Q1 with a laptop through a hub to ensure enough power supply. For the same reason, please turn off the keyboard backlight if the Q1 is connecting with a tablet.
Pre-lubed Gateron G Pro Switch
The pre-lubed Gateron G Pro mechanical switches come with an optimized mold with more precise positioning, and less wobbliness will certainly improve your fingertip feel. The Gateron switch is durable enough with an unrivaled tactile responsiveness on the linear red switch and up to 50 million keystroke lifespan.
