Extremely Rare Industrial version of the IBM Model M Keyboard. This keyboard is in excellent condition!
The enter key has some dings in it, please see close up photo. I was thinking of potentially replacing the key but decided not to, to keep it all original. All keys function with the exception of the " - " key in the upper right hand corner of the 10-key num pad on the right, the actuation is soft / does not snap back up / does not click as well as all the other keys and will keep registering repeating "-"'s, it is due to the plastic rivet on the back missing from that region, see photos. I did not want to attempt to bolt mod it to fix as I wanted to leave it as all original for those that are purists.
If you are viewing this listing, you probably know exactly what this keyboard is. From the photos you will be able to see that a majority of the plastic rivets are still intact, which shows this keyboard is still in great condition for an original IBM Model M that is also the Industrial version. I have several other Model M's that were much newer that have had a lot more of the rivets fail / disintegrate / fall off. This is a known issue with the IBM Model M keyboards that just simply happens due to age, it even happens to new old stock keyboards that are new in original packing from the 1980's and 1990's. All other keys function great.
Keyboard comes with SDL cable that has a PS2 connector on it. I am also including a PS2 to USB active converter that allows this keyboard to be connected via USB to your PC or Laptop. Need to let this one go from my collection, hopefully it finds a happy home and joins your collection.
