Expressive E Osmose - 49 Key Polyphonic Synthesizer
Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, Osmose is the result of more than 10 years of research and development, as well as feedback from world-class artists. Osmose introduces new physical gestures, allowing musicians to interact with sounds and produce music. It does this while not only respecting, but also enhancing the playerʼs existing keyboard skills. Every note can be articulated independently with unique expressive possibilities. The EaganMatrix Sound Engine
Offering new levels of expressivity required a seamless interaction between Osmoseʼs unique keybed mechanism and its sound engine. Logically, Expressive E has partnered with Haken Audio to integrate its powerful EaganMatrix sound engine with Osmose.
Its modular sound engine combines many types of digital synthesis (including physical modeling, FM, and more), making it a workflow-oriented soundbox. Osmose ships with more than 500 presets, and each of them has been manually customized with efficient macros that open new realms of sound exploration. A playful playing experience
All the internal sounds in Osmoseʼs large library are tailor-made to take advantage of itsunique keybed. Osmoseʼs unique sound identity is a combination of highly detailed acoustic, electronic, and hybrid sounds that will easily add nuances and variations to any music genre.
These sounds were carefully craed to react to a playerʼs slightest movements and make use of the keysʼ three-dimensional sensitivity in a unique way to create effects such as strummed notes, vibrato, legato, layered dynamics, and much more. As a result, discovering and controlling Osmoseʼs sounds is refreshing and fun! Built to empower external synths
On top of being a traditional MIDI keyboard controller, Osmose can also interface with computers and other instruments as an MPE MIDI controller. It also offers polyphonic aertouch support, a Multichannel MIDI mode, and global pitch bend. All of these changes can be made directly from the Osmose interface, with no need for a computer. 49 Key MPE keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch Full-size keys with 3-dimension MPE control EaganMatrix sound engine by Haken Audio: a digital modular sandbox allowing subtractive, fm and different physical modeling synthesis 24 voices of polyphony Assignable mod and pitch sliders 500 factory presets 128 user presets Configuration modes: standalone synthesizer, MPE MIDI Controller, and classic MIDI Controller Filters and sub-filters for browsing Customisable sensitivity and velocity curves Multi-mode MPE arpeggiator and innovative pressure glide feature Digital stereo effects: select between reverb , mod delay, swept echo, analog echo or LPF and HPF delay Large color display 9 push encoders 2 Line outputs: Two 1⁄4" TS pseudo balanced line outputs MIDI input, output, and MIDI-thru USB MIDI Separated 1⁄4" TRS headphone output on the front panel (with its dedicated volume knob) 2 continuous pedal inputs assignable to macro or sustain: 6.35 mm Jack Power: External PSU with lockable connector, 12V, 1.5A, center positive Dimensions (W x H x D): 894 x 316 x 87.5 mm / 35.2" x 12.4" x 3.4" Weight: 8.3 kg / 18.4 lbs Includes a software updater for new firmware and library versions Includes a Mac/PC editor to create and edit sounds
