This keyboard is a excellent dual purpose Piano and Keyboard perfect for any age or skill level. It's a great compact workstation with plenty of realistic to classic sound presets. It can be used independently or with a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and features excellent sounding built in speakers with good bass response. Optionally it can be hooked up to external speakers or to a DAW for professional level control and sound. It feature easy to press lightweight, fast synth action keys that are perfect for beginners, but also have a great feeling for advanced and expert users as seen in the demo video, these keys are perfect for fast scale runs or fast synth action style music.
61 keys is great compact key range, it's a standard key range that lends itself to full song playability without compromise.
Need a backing band to practice along with? This keyboard has plenty of songs and drum beats for accompaniment so you can practice along with your instrument of choice.
It features a generous amount of accessory input and outputs, such as a USB interface, headphones jack and volume control, a SD memory card slot, and more! It also comes with a handy removable song book stand, to easily read and follow along with the song.
The guided lighted keys easily help you to learn songs, and is loaded with amazing song presets that are easy to follow and learn. They are great for song exploration, song theory and musical understanding. The LCD screen shows proper finger position and where the notes fall in the music scale during playing or when following the song guide. This feature is also helpful for writing songs and learning.
For the musical expert, it features USB class compliant USB connection to control your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and MIDI functionality. This opens up some interesting song / learning potential with the lighted key function addition, as seen by the endless set ups, and software configurations people have done with this lighted key function as seen on YouTube.
Also is compatible with "Synthesia" a fun and exciting music training software program (Sold Separately) that integrates with the Casio LK-280 so you can follow along with their songs and lighted key direction visually on a screen.
Its has a solid build quality, that has a lighter weight feel that makes it easy to handle, but is solid and stable while playing.
This unit is the higher end version from the LK line, featuring the complete line of sound presets, songs, and sounds offered for the LK line.
This is a rare unit, no longer manufactured. It is in factory fresh condition, never used, has some minor blemishes to some surfaces,  one owner bought new. I never had a chance to put into use, and need to let it go due to a relocation.
